Something different coming from the Khao kitchen! We partnered with Blindian Project for a celebration of Ugandan cuisine and culture.

Throughout our childhood, we have grown up to appreciate the influences of both mum and dad’s upbringing, and with dad having been born and raised in Uganda, this meant we were also introduced to the dishes he enjoyed growing up. From crispy, salty cassava or mogo to soft boiled green banana or matoke, we never really thought these were ingredients not commonly found in dishes from the Indian subcontinent.

We partnered with Jonah Batambuze of Blindian Project to share the diversity of Ugandan cooking, which was presented during a day-time street food stand and an evening seated supper club.
